The dog especially seems to have more 'life' to him. and the saturation is easier on my eyes. It's very cute! :)Koya Moonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12400586964160434379noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4175523305655402122.post-45039698735441362592008-11-26T11:15:00.000-06:002008-11-26T11:15:00.000-06:00All good! I think the digital will have more chance in fine tuning... but the watercolor has it unique texture and color stain... great illustrations as always!!BLUEANGLERhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01712978089218243324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4175523305655402122.post-10116499976930165142008-11-25T12:47:00.000-06:002008-11-25T12:47:00.000-06:00Well I had this long diatribe about my longstandin...Well I had this long diatribe about my longstanding dislike of digital until recently and how I like the traditional one over the other.

However, as I looked back and forth at each several times, they both have their merits in and of themselves. Would I enjoy looking at a whole book of your digital illustrations? Of course!! It is well done, very cute, and gets the story across. Does it compare to the watercolor version as a watercolor painting? No. It looks digital. So it shouldn't be about which we like better. That is apples to oranges because it is two different mediums and changes the whole illustration style a bit. They would both work very well on a promotional card because of your talent as an artist. What it comes down to is how do you want to promote your artwork with this piece.

Sorry... a bit long. Hope it helps!Tom Barretthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10947572329745219375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4175523305655402122.post-77482468482436766722008-11-25T10:28:00.000-06:002008-11-25T10:28:00.000-06:00Thanks all! In fact he has said that doing a book completely tradtionally dorve him nuts (I'm paraphrasing there).Stephanie Roth Sissonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10446071301465656460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4175523305655402122.post-85651067389986516882008-11-24T18:29:00.000-06:002008-11-24T18:29:00.000-06:00Okay, not to throw a wrench in things...but I woul...Okay, not to throw a wrench in things...but I would go with the digital one - and I almost ALWAYS say TRADITIONAL! I just like the digital one for the reasons already mentioned, and sometimes I think digital can look better in print. But...BOTH are adorable. It's such a close call, but this time i will say "digital".

Also, I tagged you on my blog, if you care to participate.

Have a happy Thanksgiving.Kathleen Rietzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13861312608844417554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4175523305655402122.post-48128587663483092102008-11-24T11:59:00.000-06:002008-11-24T11:59:00.000-06:00I like the watercolour one... but I also like the ...I like the watercolour one... but I also like the brighter colours of the digital. Somehow they look 'cleaner' for want of the right word!

If I had to pick between the two, I would go with the watercolour version. I really like the texture of the paper coming through on the watercolor one. But the digital has lovely highlights and looks cleaner and happier so to speak.

My kids are by my side and I just asked them their opinion. They both without thinking preferred the digital one. They are 7 and 11.

I'm sorry if I'm not helping much. Honestly the subject matter and characters are so adorable that you'll do great with either one.

Maybe if you try to think what you like to work with the most right now, it will be easier to choose one :o)Alicia Padrónhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04310467713291422507noreply@blogger.com
