Sharing my painting process.

This is part one of the video where I am painting Spring Girl with Bluebird.

And here is Part 2 below. Be sure to stop by my shop after you are done watching so you can see the final piece along with lots of my other art prints that I have available for purchase as well.

As the illustrator of over 30 children’s books, I started Phyllis Harris Designs to not only brighten up kids’ rooms with nostalgic and heartwarming wall art, but to also make a difference – for each art print we sell, we give 5% to Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics to help in their fight to save children battling serious illnesses.

A look behind the scenes of my creative process (step by step)

As an artist I always enjoy seeing other artists work in progress(WIP) and their creative process so I thought I would share a little of my own today.

Here is the step by step of The Little Spring Girl with Bluebird art.

Step 1 - Very rough doodle.

Step 2 - Scanning and bringing into Corel Painter to sketch on my Cintiq.

Step 3 - Printing out final sketch onto watercolor paper and painting with traditional watercolor.

Step 4 - Final painting available in fine art giclee prints in my shop.
