A peek at my step by step work in progress....

Dear Friends,

I am loving summer so much but I have yet to put even a toe in the pool water yet so that must change very soon. I have been dreaming of the beach lately and longing to go back to the ocean. That's the place I find peace like nowhere else. Heaven seems a little closer when I am near the ocean.

Today, I want to share a few snapshots of my step by step process on my most recent piece of art that I just added to my shop yesterday so you can see a peek at how I work.











I have added this new art print to my shop here available in 4 sizes. As always, the hair colors on the children are customizable and if you want to add a favorite quote or any other text  just leave a note to seller at checkout.

Grandma's in our hearts forever...

About two months ago I created a piece of art(pictured above) that was inspired by my sweet grand daughter because she had recently found her shadow and was so fascinated by it. Then this photo was just taken about a week ago and I had to giggle at how similar they were! Just had to share.

Just be there...

School's out for the summer!!

Dear Friends,

It's not yet summer officially in the U.S. but it is starting to feel like it is! It's warm enough to swim and the pools are OPEN! Yay! Most school's are out for the summer and life is getting busier and busier with family vacations and picnics and all of the fun stuff we do when it is finally warm outside. This winter seemed longer than any other in the past, at least for me, so I am thrilled to be back in my flip flops enjoying warm days and nights.

My diet tends to change a bit when the weather warms up as well and eating the produce fresh from the garden is so wonderful! Here is a peek at a yummy salad I made with fresh spinach and kale from the garden. I added grilled chicken breast, organic red peppers and avocado.



Speaking of summer foods...a few years back I gave a popsicle to my niece and these sweet words came out of her mouth..."Is it good for you? Or just good?" Don't you just love the honesty of children?! Here is a rough sketch I did to jot down the memory before I forgot. I will hopefully eventually turn this into an art print.
