Personal projects

Here are a few rough sketches for a possible book dummy. I say possible because I have a hard time getting personal projects completed. I seem to always find other things to do that are seemingly more important, i.e. like paying freelance work. ;o) I'm going to try to stop procrastinating on personal projects in the future.

These are great Phyllis. I think you know dogs pretty well. Your kids are wonderful. I know what you mean about personal projects. It occurred to me recently- when my friends pointed it out- that illustrators aren't noticed nearly as much as writers. I think if you do something for your self more people will notice.

It's a constant balancing act, isn't it? I struggle with that all the time...there are those paying projects that don't do too much for a career, there are those that do and then there is the direction you want to go in the future and need to keep putting energy into that...

I do like your animals and children a lot- it looks like you really enjoy rendering them.
