Beauty will rise out of the ashes...

As I go through some very difficult times with my family right now I have been listening to one of my favorite artists, Steven Curtis Chapman. While walking on my treadmill and listening to my iPod  I was listening to Beauty Will Rise, which is from Steven's CD of the same name and while  it has given me such peace personally, I also realized what a perfect song it is for those who have been through the earthquake in Haiti. As time passes we hear of more and more wonderful stories out of Haiti of survival and hope. I love and respect this particular artist's vision because he truly knows what it is to be in a very dark place through his and his family's own trials.

For those who are struggling to understand "why" and "where to go from here", no matter what the difficult circumstances in your lives, the message of this song and CD gives such hope and peace. This entire CD is amazing! Every song!

Thanks Phyllis for sharing this tape with us. I'll have to pick up a copy. We all it appears are going through some difficult times. As a creative person, a women has a difficult time chasing her dreams and balancing a family. It is so hard to make everyone happy. Only God can bring us through to happier times. I am glad to be alive. Take care.Don't ever give up your dream. Mary Nida

SCC is one of my absolute, all-time favorites. I have yet to listen to his new CD ... simply because I know I'm probably going to cry through the entire album the first time I listen to it, given what prompted the writing of this particular group of songs for him. Thanks for the reminder that I need to download it ... I'm off to i-Tunes! And, I hope all is going well for you, and you have a year ahead that is filled with blessings and all good things.

Thank you to everyone for your sweet thoughts and prayers. My specific prayer request is for my precious mother-in-law who is struggling with a serious health issue. She is an incredible woman of faith and I would greatly appreciate your prayers for her healing.

Thank you!
