what's on my new desk

I finally got my new art desk stained that my sweet hubby got me for Christmas! Even though I don't have the top drawing board at an angle for this particular painting, it is very cool that I have the option to paint at a slant if needed. Saves the back and neck, for sure!

Here is a photo of my studio mate, Cassie who is settling in VERY well here. We adore her!!

Also, a shot of what I'm working on...on my desk...very fun project! Love those!

What a perfect art desk! I like how compact it is wand so many drawers for storage-awesome! And the top can be flat or on an incline! I have been on the hunt for a desk for ages that isn't just a drafting table(my studio is going to be relocated to our diningroom, so I've been on the lookout for something pretty like this. Would you mind sharing the supplier of the fabulous Christmas present? I haven't come across anything like it? OR did your hubby actually make it for you? If so your hubby rock!!!! What a thoughful and special gift!

Yuu're work is always such a joy to admire :)
You really have a nack for capturing the innocence and playfulness of children so perfectly!

Thanks Chuck!

Thank you, Suzanne. This desk is done by Hann Manufacturing and is regularly only sold to schools, colleges, etc but my sweet husband actually contacted them directly and asked if they could make this desk for me and they did. It was a GREAT Christmas surprise! Here's a link to their drawing and drafting tables:

Beautiful art desk, Phyllis. I have an antique oak drafting table, but I really only use a samll portion of it. The rest is piled with junk!
