So sad...

I have been sharing lots of posts here recently about my new stamp designs I recently created for The Angel Company. I was shocked and so very sad to find out the following news today...

Here's a message from The Angel Company

It is with great sadness that I must announce we are hanging up our wings.  These past several years our industry has faced enormous challenges and as a result, we have seen many companies close their doors.  We continued to hope we could see The Angel Company through this recession and back into prosperous days and we held onto this hope as long as we could.

One of the largest challenges affecting each of us is our industry not being able to support all of the direct sales companies in our field.  Even in a healthy economy, we are a niche market trying to compete for a very limited number of distributors.  As a small company, this has been a grueling challenge for us.  Times are tough for everyone ~ in direct sales and retail environments.

I would like to thank each of you for being an customer and Angel these past 14 years.  Indeed, it has been a pleasure to serve you.

I was so sad to read the news also. I just found your stamps about a month ago on the Angel Co website and was just trying to order them today when I saw the message. Such heart breaking news. Please let everyone know when we can find your sets. Several stampers expressed interest on Splitcoast and were heartbroken at the lost of such a wonderful company but also not being able to purchase your wonderful dog sets!!

This is such sad news. Hopefully things will change for the better in the near future so that this doesn't continue for creative, uplifting small businesses.

Thank you all.
I am so very sad for Mischelle and the Angels. I am hoping I can find a new home for my stamps. I'll post it here on my blog if I do.

I had such high hopes for my stamp designs to bring joy to many but when God closes one door, He can always open another. :) Here's hoping...

I was fortunate to purchase ALL of your darling Brandy and Emma sets, before The Angel Company closed. Thank you for sharing your talent with stampers.

I am so happy you did, Karen! Thank you!! And thanks for posting your sweet cards on your blog after you finished them, too! It was so much fun to see how you used them so beautifully! :)

I love your images and had collected a few, but not enough... I hope you find a new home for your illustrations in rubber, and I will be looking forward to finding it, and continuing my COLLECTION! Phyllis aka poki Sawyer

I too hope that your stamps will be available soon somewhere. Your Brandy and Emma series are awesome - have a couple but want them all - as well as new ones!

I, too, had ALL of your Brandy and Emma series on my wish list, as did several of my TAC customers. I'll be watching for news and hoping you'll soon be publishing your images with another rubber stamp company!
